There are a few common reasons an account gets locked — five consecutive incorrect password attempts, unusual login activity detected, or a pending KYC verification. Follow the steps below:
- Wait 30 minutes first — If your account is locked due to too many failed password attempts, it will unlock automatically after 30 minutes.
- Reset via OTP — On the login page, click "Forgot Password?", receive an OTP on your registered number, and set a new password.
- Live Chat Support — If the above steps don't work, contact Live Chat directly. Have your name, registered mobile number, and date of birth ready.
- Complete Your KYC — If the lock is due to a KYC issue, uploading a photo of your NID and a selfie will typically get your account reactivated within 2–6 hours.
Important: Vaip Taka support will never ask for your password or OTP over the phone or by SMS. If anyone does, it is a scam — report it immediately.
